How do you identify Lead Free Boards from Sn/Pb?

Electronics Forum | Thu Oct 06 18:24:33 EDT 2005 | GS

To have symbol embedded in PCB copper it could be an opportunity for error because in case of mountinng on it a non ROHS compliance components/devices, the symbol would not tell the true. Better use the Rohs compliant label, stiked on PCB when sure

"connector fell off"

Electronics Forum | Sun Apr 04 11:17:09 EDT 2004 | wsanita

I feel the solder connections were fine. The anchor pads for this device on the board are covered by solder mask. So the leads of the connector take all the stress. The component was broken off and under a scope you can see the plating of each lead

Absolutely, no glue, no fuss.

| Does anybody put QFP's on the backsides of boards? Can they be reflowed without falling off? Do you use adhesive? | I use a double sided reflow process all day, everyday. I've hung QFP240s with embedded heat sinks and they don't fall off. Yei

Component Manufacturers Barcode

Like many other circuit assemblers we cross reference an incoming reel of components Manufacturers PN (MPN) to our company’s Internal Part number (IPN). For years I've been scanning the MPN & Qty on the manufacturers label and using a simple database

| Does anybody out there have any special insights into utilizing no clean paste in high frequency RF applications? I would imagine there may be some issues with solder balls that would affect functional test (Earl, do you have something for me here?

MOLE's Oven rider

I'd like to add something about the ECD product. During a past work term (I'm a a co-op student) in an SMA plant, I worked extensively with the Super MOLE Gold in developing the reflow profiles for high-mix, low-volume production. I was 'married' t
